.
Ø 14 H 28.5 cm
.
(Terracotta)

The vase is hand-thrown and features abstract brushwork in layered glazes of blue, ochre, and off-white, with accents of deep blue and red.
Its expressive surface decoration is reminiscent of Expressionist aesthetics.
Made from terracotta clay,
the piece is finished with a high-temperature clear glaze,
giving it a naturally warm and lustrous sheen.
The signature “Denys” appears on the base.
While potters bearing this name are not uncommon,
it is likely associated with studio ceramicists from southern France—possibly from regions such as Vallauris or Dieulefit. However,
at present,
it remains difficult to attribute the work to a specific known artist.
